We also have other target markets such as India, Korea, Japan and Malaysia, where we are now resolutely expanding. In addition, we see good long-term reinsurance potential in emerging markets such as Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines. Munich Health is already looking closely at these countries and is prepared to work with partners when the opportunity arises.

Apollo Munich Health Insurance, India, has been operating as a primary insurer since late 2007. From its New Delhi head office, it serves clients throughout the Indian sub-continent. It will become one of the first specialised health insurance companies in a huge nation. It is also a partner in a joint venture with the Indian Apollo Hospitals Group Enterprise Ltd.
